Federal aid sought to limit emissions
With various stimulus packages being proposed for banks, insurers, the auto industry and homeowners, the Conservation Law Foundation in Rhode Island has made yet another suggestion — it is calling on the state’s congressional delegation to try to get federal dollars to shore up the state’s battered infrastructure.

URI Oceanography School gets hurricane-study financing

Environmental Journal: Canonchet Farm walks are rich with information, history
The Friends of Canonchet Farm is a nonprofit organization with the mission to improve and preserve Canonchet Farm in partnership with the Town of Narragansett. The property consists of freshwater and saltwater wetlands, forests, meadows and history. It abuts Pettaquamscutt Cove and Narrow River, both environmentally fragile areas.

Rhode Island ranks 11th among states for energy efficiency
Rhode Island has been ranked the 11th state in the country for its efforts to improve energy efficiency, slipping slightly from last year when it tied at 9th.
